Brain Rhythms
Brainwave Music Tower
Tools: Neurosky headset (mindwave), Projector, Processing
OVERVIEW
Brainwave Music Tower installation helps visitors understand how brain waves help us process
music. Visitors then stand underneath a tower-shaped booth and put on an EEG headset that
hangs from the tower. As speakers within the tower begin to play music, the tower shows the interaction
between mind and music by displaying music audio waves and how the visitor's brainwaves reacts.
In collaboration with NYU researcher, Keith Doelling,
our team designed interactive exhibits based on his research about brain rhythms sync to the beat of music.
